Escrow in Mexico
The Settlement Company® offers neutral depository (escrow) services for real estate transactions anywhere in Mexico. An escrow company, also called a neutral third-party stakeholder, holds the buyer’s funds and the seller’s documents until the buyer-seller instructions are carried out.
Fideicomisos
The Settlement Company® specializes in fideicomisos, the Mexican bank trusts through which foreigners acquire residential property in the restricted zone. In a fideicomiso a Mexican bank acts as trustee, while the foreign beneficiary keeps the use and control of the property.
