As a neutral third party The Settlement Company® may receive buyer and seller funds for disbursement when specific dates, terms and/or conditions are met.
The terms and conditions for disbursement are outlined in specific instructions drawn up by our escrow department and signed by the parties to the transaction.
All funds received are deposited in U.S. trust accounts and a separate account is established for each transaction involving the escrow of purchase funds. The recommended method of deposit is through wire transfer from depositor’s account to company trust account. Disbursements are generally carried out in the same manner.
Management and disbursement of funds by third parties are regulated in Mexico under Article 2569, Chapter II of the Civil Code (D.F.) and Articles 273 to 308 of the Commercial Code.
